Punjab Election: Dasuya Assembly Constituency 2022

Dasuya is one of the 117 Punjab Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Hoshiarpur district. Punjab Assembly Election 2022 for Dasuya was held on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.

In Punjab Assembly Election 2017, there were 1,89,480 registered voters for Dasuya assembly seat, out of which 97,798 were male and 91,682 were female voters. 0.6% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In 2017, 12 candidates were contesting for Dasuya assembly constituency seat. Dasuya was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Indian National Congress's Arun Dogra won the election by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Sukhjit Kaur by a margin of 17,638 votes.

86.2% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Indian National Congress's Arun Dogra grabbed a total of 56,527 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Sukhjit Kaur got 38,889 votes. Aam Aadmi Party's candidate Balbir Kaur bagged 16,330 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 43.6%, 30.0% and 12.6% respectively.

In Punjab Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Amarjit Singh beat Indian National Congress's Ramesh Chander Dogra by 6,920 votes.
