Kalimpong is one of the 294 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Darjiling district. People of Kalimpong voted for West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 on April 17 and the result was declared on May 2.

The top two candidates split 92.1% of votes between them. Gorkha Janmukti Morcha's Sarita Rai got a total of 67,693 votes, while independent candidate Harka Bahadur Chettri secured 56,262 votes. Gorkha Rashtriya Congress's candidate Kishore Pradhan secured 5,714 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 50.3%, 41.8% and 4.2% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, Gorkha Janmukti Morcha's Dr. Harka Bahadur Chettri beat Gorkha National Liberation Front's Prakash Dahal by 1,01,675 votes.
