Delhi Heritage Walks
While you walk with this team of young Dilliwallahs, you would surely get a sense of the city's rich historical heritage. The general route includes places like Hauz Khas, Lodi Garden, Mehrauli Archeological Park, Chandni Chowk and Kashmere Gate. The organisers also plan to take the walk to Tughlaqabad and the areas around the old fort. The walk is open to people from all age groups and is a hit especially with students pursuing photography and architecture. The duration of the walk is about two hours. Habitat World at India Habitat Centre
The India Habitat Centre organises walks only on Sundays. The itinerary includes a visit to the various museums in the Capital, including the Doll Museum and National Museum, and other historical sites. The schedule for this month includes a walk on July 24 through the Mohan Khokar Dance Collection, an exhibition that features books on dance, photos, paintings, masks, and dolls. The walk will then move on to search for the djinns of Firozshah Kotla. People of all age groups can participate. Cost: Free for club members, Rs 50 for others (first come first served basis)

Walks with Surekha Narain
History comes alive through these walks organised by Surekha Narain, a heritage walk consultant. The walks also include lively visual depictions of heritage sites such as the Nizammuddin Dargah. This particular walk tells the story of the revered sufi saint, Nizamuddin Aulia. Narain organises different types of walks ranging from regular to private and customised walks. Spiritual and theme walks such as food tours and bagh (garden) tours are also organised. The next walk is lined up for the second week of August. Cost: Rs 300 - Rs 600 per head; Rs 500 - Rs 600 with one meal.

Delhi By Cycle
Take a ride through the historical wealth of the Capital with this walk. They claim to provide cycles that are safe and designed in a way which makes them suitable for the city streets. They also provide the participants with comprehensive guides available in both English and Hindi. A special orange cycle ride from 6.30am to 10am takes place everyday. It commences from the parking opposite Delite Cinema (near Turkman Gate). These daily rides take three routes - the Shah Jahan Tour, Yamuna Tour and Raj Tour, on different days in groups of five to 10 people. Cost: Rs 1,350 (including cycles, cycling gears and snacks)
