During a recent meeting with Narendra Modi in Gujarat, actor Ajay Devgn was all praise for the state’s chief minister’s leadership qualities and style of governance. The actor, who will next be seen in Tezz, also expressed his desire to set up a solar energy power project in Gujarat.
“Solar power is the future of industry. We are aiming to reach 500 MW within three to five years with a total investment of Rs 5,000 crore,” said Devgn.
Several states offer tax benefits to attract investments into solar and wind energy. Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai and cricket maestro Sachin Tendulkar have already invested in wind power projects at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan and Satara in Maharashtra.

Devgn, who was in Gujarat on a courtesy visit, said he looked forward to doing more films set there, and also invited Modi to view his Hindi film Rajneeti.
