Anushka: Punjabi offers only

Lagta hai as if this Anushka is getting stereotyped in playing Punjabi gal roles.

My dhobi’s not done yet. Now he wants me to hear about Anushka Sharma, whose rushes from Patiala House he happened to catch recently. I’m told that Sharma’s character in the Nikhil Advani film takes her Punjabi kudi’s character from Band Baaja Baraat character a few notches ahead.

If I’m not mistaken, didn’t her BBB role take a few steps ahead of her character from her debut, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi? Lagta hai as if this Anushka is getting stereotyped in playing Punjabi gal roles. Strange, since even Omi Vaidya is getting more versatile as he’s playing a Maharashtrian and a Punjabi character after his famous Chatur Ramalingam hit act in 3 Idiots. Hai na?
