Award fever hits city
A mix of big screen and small screen stars will be in the city for the GR8 Women Achievers Awards tomorrow.
A mix of big screen and small screen stars will be in the city for the GR8 Women Achievers Awards tomorrow. Rani Mukherji, Raveena Tandon Thadani, Jay Soni, Aamir Ali, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Yana Gupta, Karan Wahi, among others, will grace the event.
The show will honour women and their achievements in various walks of life. This year is the 10th edition of the Awards and is being held in Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. The show has over over 31 categories including sports, beauty, social service, media, dance, theatre, television, politics, choreography, jewellery designing, actress of the decade, bravery, global reportage among others. The awards evening is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
Shovana Narayan, Raell Padamsee, Ambika Soni and Sabrina Lal, amongst others will present at the do. “It is heartening to see that our initiative has grown from strength to strength over the years. It has also become more meaningful as, through it, we are protesting female foeticide in the form of BETI. I am glad that so many women achievers from different genres have participated over the last 10 years. This kind of awareness truly makes it a platform that celebrates being a woman,” says Shashi Ranjan, Founder of GR8 Women Awards.
