Soon-to-be dad Vivek Oberoi will be on leave from January. The actor will be on a two-month break since his wife Priyanka is due to give birth in February. In fact, he is wrapping up his current films (about five of them) quickly so that there are no disturbances while he is on leave.
“Vivek has informed the producers of his films that he won’t be available January onwards. The idea is to spend some private and quality time with his wife. He feels that due to his back-to-back shooting schedules — outdoor and in the city — he hasn’t been able to give her much time over the past few months,” says an insider .
Apparently, Priyanka will shift to her parents’ place in Bengaluru next month for the delivery. “Vivek will join her there in February. He doesn’t want to miss out on any excitement that will come with the birth of the baby. He has wrapped up all his films, except a song and a sequence in Indra Kumar’s Grand Masti, which he will wrap up by the end of this month,” adds the insider.
The actor has films such as Sher, Zilla Ghaziabad, Krrish 3 and Jayantabhai Ki Love Story lined up for release next year. When contacted, an excited Vivek confirmed the news, saying, “It’s the most exciting phase of my life, and I would like to spend as much time as possible with my wife and baby.”
