After shooting with lions at the Gir forest, Amitabh Bachchan arrived at the Somnath Temple as part of the final leg of his Gujarat Tourism campaign. Dressed in a white dhoti-kurta, the 67-year-old actor took part in the morning aarti before facing the camera.
This is the final session of the Bollywood icon's first visit to the state he is promting, sources in the Junagadh district administration informed. His second visit is yet to be finalised.
At least eight media persons were detained near the temple when the actor was shooting, most of them cameramen. Apparently, the authorities did not want the footage to leak out. They were taken to a nearby police station and later released.
Bachchan who the brand Ambassador for the IIFA awards isn’t in Colombo this year because he was committed to this schedule in Gujarat.
