The two have not been seen in public together for almost a month, reports mirror.co.uk.

Bosworth clarified that they are still friends but her friends reveal she is trying to keep the break up a secret.

A source said: "Kate dumped James a month ago following fights over their work schedules. She has insisted on remaining in Los Angeles to further her career but he loves England and didn't want to move to LA. Kate is now telling friends she's ready to date again."

The two met at a party hosted by designer Marc Jacobs in 2006, just after she split with actor Orlando Bloom.
