Hollywood star Brad Pitt has hired a top divorce lawyer to help him end his marriage with estranged wife Jennifer Aniston outside court.

According to Contactmusic quoting US news show Celebrity Justice, the Troy star has recruited Bruce Clemens to help him end his marriage amicably.

Pitt missed his deadline, under California law, to respond to Aniston's original divorce filing last month, but now both parties have reportedly agreed to a settlement.

In the meantime, Pitt has finally broken his silence about his marriage to Aniston. Brad revealed to a US magazine that he does not view the marriage as a failure.

"It's talked about like it failed. I guess because it wasn't flawless," he told the GQ magazine.

In the interview, Pitt denied any link up with his Mr and Mrs co star Angelina Jolie. He also said that he felt like punching reporters who were spreading rumours about the two.

"Some things they said make me want to punch their lights out," he added.
