Hi my caviar canapés, a girl’s gotta live, no? That’s why I’m taking off this Sunday for a secret girlie day (maybe two or three.. or four days) with my sahelis-cum-chamchis, Madhu the Mottu Maid and the vivacious Vaziran bua. They’re so thrilled the sweetsums.. but alas and alack, Dimwit Mirza just rang the doorbell to beg for reemployment. Fat chance!

From the Yash Raj camp, I have heard that Katrina Kaif is no longer in favour even though she’s wrapped New York for the banner.
After the Shah Rukh Khan-Salman Khan face-off at Kats’ birthday eons ago, the casting of the project to be directed by Yash Chopra has gone through a rethink.
Opposite SRK, Kats will be missing. Instead, Asin’s name is being considered seriously. Needless to say, Rani Mukherji doesn’t figure at all in the final Yashji shortlist.
Everyone’s being cagey about whether Asin will finally get the plum role.. but that’s sooo predictable nooo?

Kamal Haasan’s beti Shruti will have to wait longer for her debut in Soham Shah’s Luck. Co-starring the Kidnap duo, Sanjay Dutt and Imran Khan, the project is facing financial obstacles.
Blame it on the global meltdown. But huh, what’s preventing buyers from queuing up to buy big flix like Blue and Run Bhola Run?
Just phoned Mottuji to consult her on this. She said, “Main kuch samjhi nahin.” Me too.
Crunch ado
I’m told that Akshay Kumar is doing Venus’ Priyadarshan-directed De Dhana Dhan for 15 crore, which is an 80 per cent reduction of the salary he was rumoured to be getting in the market.
Kinng Kumar, like most actors, is aware of the crunch but wanted the project to take off pronto, anyway.
The remaining remuneration, it seems, will be discussed at the time of the movie’s release.. and will depend on the market situation. So as ma’am Honeyji would say, but then, such is life dearies.
