Akshay Kumar cooked a dish at Film City in Goregaon at the announcement of his new television show, Master Chef India: “Chicken Green Thai Curry and Veg Green Thai Curry for my vegetarian friends,” he exclaimed.
“The guys at Star Plus were surprised when I suggested this. Since the show was about food and I had worked as a chef during my martial arts training days in Thailand before I became an actor, they agreed,” revealed the actor.
It took him nearly two hours to cook the dishes “because cooking for so many people takes a while”. “I’ve done my best to ensure that it turns out good. It’s up to you to decide whether you like it or not. But if you don’t, I’m not responsible,” he joked.
He admitted that being a Punjabi, he not only grew up to be a foodie, but also turned to cooking. About the show, he said, “Mujhe meri aukaad yaad kara di” (It reminded of my roots).
