George Clooney's spokesperson has denied engagement rumours after Clooney's girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis flashed a giant rock on her ring finger recently.

A representative for George Clooney has denied reports that the actor has proposed to his girlfriend and model Elisabetta Canalis.

Rumours that the couple is ready to take their relationship at the next level started off after Canalis was spotted wearing a sparking accessory on her ring finger while holidaying in Italy, contactmusic.com reported.

Clooney's publicist has rubbished reports saying, the "jewellery" was simply a napkin ring the Italian beauty had been playing around with.
