He may have just turned 41, but actor Ajay Devgn says he feels like he’s in his 20s. “In fact, I’d say I’m fitter and stronger now,” he laughs. His wife, superstar Kajol, is expecting their second child, and that, says Devgn, feels like “one big change.”
The couple already has a daughter, Nysa, and the actor says he would love to have another little girl. “It doesn’t matter if our child is a boy or a girl. That’s the least of our concerns. I’m very lucky to have a daughter. And if Kajol and I were to have another one, we will be even happier,” he says.
Though they have decided on a couple of names, he’s not willing to share them yet. Devgn does, however, let on that Nysa is “ecstatic” about having a younger sibling. “And before you ask about Kajol, let me tell you she’s thrilled, too,” he adds.
Recently, Kajol shot a song-and-dance number for one of her upcoming projects, but Devgn says the director, Karan Johar, was well aware of her condition. “Kajol had discussed the movement with the director before they began. Everyone was aware of her condition, what she could do and what she couldn’t. The schedule was planned accordingly. There was no reason to worry.” He says Kajol is the strict parent. “And every time she scolds Nysa, she comes running to me for a cuddle,” he says.
Besides family and films, Devgn was also planning to bid for an IPL team with actor Sanjay Dutt, but the plans didn’t pan out. “Yes, at one time we were considering buying an IPL team. But later, the costing didn’t work out to our advantage. So we didn’t pursue it,” he says.
