Selfies have clearly become the new trend with celebrities. From various Bollywood actors uploading their selfies on social networking sites to Hollywood stars joining the bandwagon at the Oscars, everyone has taken to the fad. And now, Deepika Padukone, who usually does not share her personal pictures, is seen doing that in an ad.
A source close to Deepika says, “While most celebrities click selfies and share with their fans on social networking sites, Deepika has used the concept for a commercial. She was keen to explore the idea and in conjunction with the creative team, she worked out the narrative of the ad.” Divulging further details, the source adds, “She is seen prepping for a weight loss challenge and posting fun pictures while she is gearing up for a friend’s wedding.”
The source says that Deepika has received positive feedback about the ad so far. She has also got reactions from her fans, who are now requesting her to share her selfies on a social networking site.
