Candle-light walks, tribute meets, protest marches — city youngsters are on a crusade for murdered Mumbai journalist, J Dey.

Earlier this week, there was a candlelight march at India Gate, attended by hundreds of college students. “I am not part of the media and I did not know Dey, but I strongly feel justice should be done,” says Srikant Prasad, 22, a graphic design student.

The following days, too, saw protests demanding compensation for Dey’s family. Some youngsters are raising money on their own. “We have formed a group, and everyone is welcome to contribute,” says Pooja Sah, 21.
