It’s been just 10 days since we set out to find a Delhi boy for Sonam Kapoor and the pictures are already pouring in by the dozen. After the actor told HT City that she would like to date someone from the Capital, we asked Delhi boys to post their photos on our Facegroup group — Delhi boy for Sonam Kapoor — and were flooded with fan requests.
When Kapoor, who is currently shooting her film, Mausam, in Chandigarh, saw the pictures, she was thrilled. “I was really surprised to see so many requests … I saw all the pictures … there’s one guy who is showing his abs, and there is one in an army uniform posing with a gun … it’s so sweet and nice. Thank you so much for this,” she said.
So does she plan to date anyone yet? “No yaar … We are so busy travelling and working, and you know, guys want you to accommodate according to them, while they may not accommodate for you. Most women are facing this problem these days.”
Nevertheless, Delhi men are still on her mind. “They are tall, speak nicely, are chivalrous and like to take care of their women.” And, the fact that they’re “not as metrosexual as Mumbai men” makes them dearer. “They’re old-fashioned, and I like that,” she says.
Ask her if her man must have any qualities in particular, and she says, “He should be chivalrous, strong, intelligent, well read, and a movie fan … basic jo hota hai.”
