Desi tadka for British PM David Cameron

British Prime Minister David Cameron went desi all the way, during his recent visit to India. He received a traditional welcome of tika and flowers at the city’s Taj Palace hotel. Later, the PM, obviously impressed with the culinary delights the country has to offer, did not hesitate to get a hands-on foodie experience.

British Prime Minister David Cameron went desi all the way, during his recent visit to India.

His visit to Delhi started off with a traditional welcome of tika and flowers on Tuesday at the city’s Taj Palace hotel. Later, the PM, obviously impressed with the culinary delights the country has to offer, did not hesitate to get a hands-on foodie experience.

He surprised the staff at ITC Maurya’s Bukhara by entering the kitchen and quizzing the chef on roti making techniques on the tandoor. He then used his newly-acquired knowledge and roti-making skills at Amritsar when he visited the Golden Temple. He headed to the community kitchen inside the shrine and prepared rotis.
