Cameron Diaz is feeling "hurt and betrayed" after breaking up with baseball player boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, a friend of the actress has revealed.
"They've broken up. (Cameron is) hurt and betrayed, because she tried so hard to please him. She went overboard," the Daily Mail quoted a source as telling Perez Hilton's website fitperez.com.
The couple first started dating last year and the 38-year-old actress confirmed that she was seeing the New York Yankees star in an interview with Britain's Elle magazine.
"Yes, Alex is my boyfriend. It's not a secret any more," she had said.
The couple had been spending an increased amount of time together, with the actress apparently even moving to Miami to be closer to the 35-year-old.
Cameron is even said to have met the baseball slugger's daughters Natasha, six, and Ella, three.
