Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan was discharged from Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Monday morning, a day after he was admitted following an allergic reaction to an antibiotic medicine.
"He is doing fine now and has been discharged," said Hrithik’s father, film-maker Rakesh Roshan. "It was diagnosed as an allergy caused due to some antibiotic, which he took because suffering from chest congestion."

On Sunday evening, the allergic reaction to the medicine was so severe that the actor gave his family the scare of their lives. The 36-year-old was rushed to hospital at around 4 pm and was put under immediate surveillance by doctors.
Hrithik told HT City via SMS, "Doctors confirmed that I experienced allergic reaction to an antibiotic. My lungs just closed. Throat went into spasm, could not breathe. Lips became 10 times their size. I was rushed to the hospital on time. But all good. It’s always good (sic)."
Duggu’s wife, Sussanne, was relieved once he was released from the hospital. “By the grace of god my Hrithik is much much better... Most random one in a million allergic reaction,” she tweeted.
