Brown's lawyers want the charges to be dropped against him, thesun.co.uk reports. They want a court hearing in Los Angeles next week.

A source said: "He will argue it was a misunderstanding between two young people passionately in love."

The lawyers claim the shocking photo of Rihanna's injuries will not ensure a fair trial.
