Slumdog Millionaire stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto were recently in Mumbai, on a hush hush two day visit to India. Those partying at the Bandra nightclub Hawaiian Shack on the night of December 25th couldn’t believe their eyes when the much in love couple walked in at 11.30 pm with some friends.
Mridul Singhvi, the nightclub’s manager, said, “Frieda was dressed in a short black dress, while Dev Patel was dressed in casual T-shirt and jeans. They were here with a couple of friends, and stayed for over two hours.”
“They were quite reserved and did not mingle with people or allow anyone to take pictures,” she added, saying that the staff even dedicated a song from Slumdog Millionaire to the couple.
Freida Pinto’s publicist said the actress came to India to celebrate Christmas with her family in Malad, a Mumbai suburb. “Freida came to India on the night of December 24 and left on December 26. She took a short break, from shooting Woody Allen’s yet-to-be-named film in London to be with her parents and her sister Sharon.
No matter how busy she is, Freida wanted to spend Christmas with her family,” she said. Dev, who is currently working on M Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, also met Frieda’s parents while in the city.
