Work took a backseat for actress Genelia D’Souza this Christmas as she chose to spend the special occasion with her family instead. "This year, the festival was a combination of family time and renewal of my spiritual side. My day began with a lunch at my cousin’s place. Incidentally, it was also his birthday. The afternoon turned out to be a huge, chatty, crazy event," said Genelia.

For the actress, the celebrations began on Christmas eve itself. “I went for a midnight mass with my family. I’ve never missed a single midnight mass. For me, this ritual marks the beginning of my Christmas festivities,” Genelia added.

As for her Christmas wish, Genelia says she’s praying for “health and prosperity for my family and peace and safety for Mumbai.”
