Scottish actor Gerard Butler has dashed his image as Hollywood's lothario to pieces, after he insisted that his love life is "pretty miserable".
Butler, 39, had gained a tabloid reputation for being a ladies' man after he was linked to a string of beautiful women, including actresses Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz.
"Love is something that I've definitely felt a couple of times. It never worked out, it made me nuts, but I absolutely want to experience it again. And it's about f**king time!" Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
"I've definitely had lots of fun. Now I'm more serious about things - I don't mess around anywhere near like I used to. It was a lot more fun when I was under the radar.
"Now going on a date is going to be well publicised. I would be lying if I said my love life is amazing at the moment. It's actually pretty miserable," he added.
