“I don’t want anything in return as I’m not going to release it commercially. It’s my way of showing love for the Bachchans,” says Khan, who has funded a one-song album called The Bachchan Family.

The song, called ‘Ishq ka garam masala’ has been sung by Munni Badnam singer Mamta Sharma.

“Abhishek and Aishwarya are my favourite Bollywood couple. I am very excited that there is good news in the Bachchan family and another baby Bachchan is expected. So, I’ve dedicated this song to them,” she says.

“I had no idea it was meant for the Bachchans, but I am glad that my song is dedicated to Bollywood’s first family,” says singer Sharma.

Khan, who dances in the video, chose Mamta as the singer because she wanted it to have “the flavour of Uttar Pradesh — as the Bachchans are from UP”.

“I’m confident that they will accept my song as a gift from me for their soon-to-be-born baby. The Bachchans have entertained us for so many years. This is my way of thanking them.”
