Hassled for the hack of it

Delhi-based emcee, Ramneek Pantal was left embarassed when an offensive mail from her e-mail ID was sent to all her contacts, asking them to visit a website offering penis enlargement drugs.

Delhi-based emcee, Ramneek Pantal was left embarassed and shocked last week when an offensive mail from her e-mail ID was sent to all her contacts, asking them to visit a website offering penis enlargement drugs.

“I’m still trying to figure it out. I got to know about it when I received a mail from my own account on my Blackberry. I opened it and it scared me. And that’s not the only mail I’ve received,” said a harrowed Pantal.

“Then, I started receiving texts and calls from friends saying, ‘hey, there’s some problem with your account’. I just hope somebody’s not hacked it, because that would be so mean! I am now wondering whether I should block my account or report the matter,” she said.
