learnt from my own mistakes. A word of caution: To learn from others mistakes is better than making your own. There are ways in which a heroine prepares herself to deal with unwanted male attention. For one, she has an inherent (self-preservation) instinct that comes into play from a very early age. Also, educating a girl child gives her the power to defend herself, to distinguish between right and wrong.
