Bipasha Basu might have one of the best legs in the industry, but she’s convinced that her feet are ugly. “My feet look really ugly,” Basu laughs, “That’s why I wrap them up in these gladiator shoes all the time.”

And despite her being photographed wearing skyscraper tall heels, Basu insists that she is “more of a sneaker girl. I love make-up and styling, but I also have a sporty spirit,” she says. “I’m passionate about fitness and health.”
Does being the ambassador of a diamond brand, get her a lot of sparkly gifts? "John is my diamond supplier," she grins. "He recently gave me a beautiful pendant. My mother also saves a lot of elaborate traditional jewellery for me, which I will inherit one day."
She mentions that her rule for bling is only one item at a time. “I always wear either a statement necklace or a pair of earrings. Though if you ask me, I’m completely partial to rings.” Basu comments on the positive reviews her ethnic look in Lamhaa received: “I would love to wear Indian ethnic clothes more often. It’s just that they are very elaborate and require a lot of patience and effort.

But I’m actually a simple girl, I’m absolutely okay with looking glamourous and dolled up or appearing on-screen without a stitch of make-up.” She mentions that Bollywood has a habit of stereoptyping people, something that even she has fallen prey to.
“This business is short-sighted, people put you into certain stereotypes because that saves them the trouble of looking beyond that. I am perfectly at ease with being covered from head-to-toe, or even being dressed in a skimpy bikini because I have a very fit body.”
