“I am used to the buzz and rumours around my marriage, but it’s not cool. I have to have a certain date, a special day, you can’t take that happiness away from me,” she says with a laugh.

“It’s a very big step in my life. I am not the kind of person who will get married on the sly. I am a very happy person... I even celebrate my birthday for a whole month. I have got so much love in the past 14 years in the industry, I can’t be hiding such a thing from my fans,” she adds.

But is marriage on the cards for Harman and her? “Well not yet, but it does seem like everyone wants it to be. I know it would make my mother very happy. Plus, I would go all-out traditional, you will see me as a proper Bengali bride, my mom would not have it any other way,” says Bipasha.

But, apart from being in front of the camera, would she also want to be behind it? “I wanted to, but I have come to realise that it is too big a task — from multiple egos on the set to keeping the whole crew together — it’s a really big job; not a job for me for sure. I think I am definitely better off as an actor” she says.
