When it comes to marriage, mom has the last word. Even as actor Saif Ali Khan continues to deny an October 16 wedding to actor Kareena Kapoor as announced by his family, his mother, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore, reportedly says the date is final no matter what Saif says.

In an interview to Mid-Day that emerged Tuesday, she insisted that her busy son will have to take out time from his shooting schedules as the date has been finalised by her once and for all, and there’s no getting away. She said it was a ’warning’ for him.

She apparently also confirmed that the wedding will take place not in London as was earlier reported but either at their ancestral town, Pataudi, or in Mumbai, as wished by the bride’s father, yesteryear actor Randhir Kapoor.

Tagore went on to put to rest rumours about Kareena’s trousseau by re-iterating that the bride-to-be will wear Sharmila’s royal wedding dress and jewellery, which is being polished up for the occasion. Also, there will be no pressure from the mother-in-law for Kareena to convert to Islam. While Saif has so-far remained elusive about the marriage date and even hinted at a December wedding, Kareena has stayed completely tight-lipped on it.
