Funny. That’s the only way to describe Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, known worldwide for being part of the improvisational comedy TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? But, in spite of making millions laugh for umpteenth years, a trip to India gave both of them the jitters.

That was till they realised that “fart jokes” work as well here as in the rest of the world! “When we go to places we haven’t been before, we’re a little careful not to offend anyone. But, we asked people in the audience in Kolkata for suggestions and almost every suggestion we got was a fart joke. So we realised we don’t have to worry as much as we thought,” says Colin, who’s touring the country along with Brad as part of Black Dog Comedy Evenings.Although on a tight schedule, both are keen on sightseeing. "We’re hoping to stay on for a couple of days after the tour. My wife would like to see the Taj Mahal," says Brad, who performs with Colin in Delhi tonight at Dublin, ITC Maurya.

"We had a two-hour drive in Kolkata and that was... I don’t even know what the word would be. I’ve been to New York and I thought that was the worst traffic in the world. In Kolkata, it was... amazing – pedestrians, bikes, cows and horses on road. It was like an amusement ride," says Colin who, like Brad, is a "big fan of spicy Indian food."
