Aniston's Marley & Me and Pitt's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button are set for Christmas release in the US. According to dailymail.co.uk, sources claim Aniston could not face being single when their films hit the screens, while her ex would show off partner Angelina Jolie.

"She didn't want to face the glare of being unattached while Brad Pitt toted Angelina Jolie around. She did not want to be single when her movie opened," said the source close to her.

But the bid to find her a "replacement" was called off after she got back together with off-and-on boyfriend, musician John Mayer.
