“I’d asked an old school friend to lock the title for me years ago, convinced that some day I’d make money on the venture. I’m ready for it now,” says Abraham, admitting to a tie-up with UTV for video blogs and voice blogs for cell phones users. UTV will brainstorm with him on ideas and monitor the progress on the blogs.
The actor has resolutely refused to join Twitter, despite girlfriend Bipasha Basu urging him to do so. Basu’s reasoning is that Abraham being a people’s person and a youth icon needs to connect with his fans more. But he’s not keen to let the public into his private life through the social networking window.
“I will, however, be sharing limited but interesting portions of my life everyday with my fans on the blogs,” he asserts. “I don’t have to tell the world when I entered the washroom and used the flush. I will reserve my comments on those who tweet every minute. On my part, if you come across a John Abraham online, be warned that he is an imposter.”

Why, then, did he allow Basu to jump on to the Twitter bandwagon? “Bipasha is a girl with a mind of her own. How could I stop her?” he says. “She makes her own decisions and I don’t interfere with them. She’s happy to interact with her fans everyday on Twitter. Why would I deprive her of that joy?”
