Kannada star Darshan arrested

Kannada film actor Darshan was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife Vijayalakshmi who is now recovering in a hospital. He also threatened his child.

Kannada film actor Darshan was arrested here early on Friday for allegedly assaulting his wife Vijayalakshmi, police sources said.

Darshan also allegedly threatened his child, said the sources.

The actor went to the house of Vijayalakshmi's friend Vidya with whom she was staying. He demanded that his wife return to his residence in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar here.

Vijayalakshmi, now in a hospital, is responding well to treatment, a doctor treating her told IANS.
