International R&B singer Akon floored actress Kareena Kapoor, on Tuesday when he sang a couple of lines from his hit song

for her. “I’m meeting Kareena for the first time,” he said.
Kareena aka Bebo, too, wasn’t lacking on true Indian hospitality, when she put a garland around the singer and a
tikka
on his head.
The two, along with Shah Rukh Khan, attended a conference for SRK’s film
Ra.One
in Mumbai. As soon as Akon was garlanded, SRK joked, “In India, once the actress garlands you, you are married to the hero.”
Khan also found a fan in Akon. “I am a big fan of Shah Rukh and very familiar with his work,” said Akon, in India to record songs for

The singer, apart from singing for
Ra.One
, is also composing music for the film. “I will give Shah Rukh a couple of versions of the song, the way I do it. I will integrate it with the traditional way that Bollywood films are done,” said Akon, who plans to do more shows in India.
When SRK was asked if he’d taken Akon partying, he replied, “He refuses to party. He only wants to know when to start work.” As for how much the singer is being paid, SRK retorted, “Akon is just being gracious. Unlike me, who charges for everything, there is no business deal between us.”
