Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle hosted a ‘Blast before the fast’ party on the eve of Karvachauth. Actors Roshni Chopra, Sonali Bendre, Sophie Choudry and Akshay’s sister Alka Bhatia attended the event.

Meanwhile, actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra also observed the fast with her. “Am a southindian married to a Punjabi, all this is so new to me:) but my hubbys fasting too to giv me company,so dont feel that bad:)sweet (sic),” she said.

Abhishek Bachchan, too, fasted with wife Aishwarya. “Abhishek fasted along with Aishwarya .. i did not due medical reasons ..the ladies looked glorious in all their bridal finery (sic),” tweeted Abhi’s dad Amitabh.
