As a fleet of new orange buses takes on city roads, here’s telling which colour means what.
Non-AC buses
Colour: Green

Fare: Same as orange buses
Route: Almost all city routes, except a few that connect rural Delhi
Facilties: Ramps for the disabled, hydraulic doors and features like automatic transmission, power steering and large wind screens, which make driving and maneuvering easy.
AC buses
Colour: Green

Fare: Same as orange buses

HoHo buses
Colour: Purple
No. of buses: 30
Fare: Rs 300 for adults and Rs 150 for children.
Route: It connects 30 places of tourist interest in Delhi, such as the India Gate, Red Fort and National Museum
Facilties: The buses are air-conditioned and have an LCD information screen. There’s also a guest relations executive on board. They operate for 12 hours daily, running at a frequency of every half an hour starting from 8.00am till 8.00pm on all days except Monday.
Cluster buses
Colour: Orange
No. of buses: Currently 50
Fare: Rs 5, Rs 10 and Rs 15, depending on the distance travelled.
Route: 411 — Ambedkar Nagar to Mori Gate; 419 — Ambedkar Nagar to Old Delhi Rly Stn, 423 — Ambedkar Nagar to Mori Gate and 522 — Ambedkar Nagar to Rajendra
Place. Starting point: Millennium Depot.
Facilities: GPS devices to keep a tab on the movement and geographic location of the buses. They are tracked by the Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVLS) on real-time basis. Electronic ticketing machines and announcement systems are other facilities. The bus operation is based on a unified time table, with the provision of penalty in case of violation of the time-table.
