Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has been accused of attacking a female employee at the Betty Ford rehabilitation centre.

She was reportedly left infuriated after the staffer asked her to submit to a drug and alcohol test, reports usmagazine.com.

"Lohan was reported as the suspect in the investigation and the victim desired prosecution," said a spokesperson for the Palm Desert Police Department

The 24-year-old star was sent to California's Betty Ford clinic for drug treatment. She has reportedly been shifted to a new rehab after receiving strange phone calls from Britney Spears' manager Sam Lutfi.
