Everyone wants to bask in Anna’s limelight. And some will do anything to do so — including stripping for the cause!
Earlier this week, Marathi actor Yoggita Dandekar circulated a series of pictures in the media, in which she poses nude with the Tricolour painted on her breasts (pic not published in light of reader sensibilities).
She also announced that she will run naked in a marathon if the Lokpal Bill is passed. Mumbai-based DJ, Jenny D also posed topless with a pro-Anna slogan painted on her back.
Actor Yuvraj Parashar, who played the lead in 2010 film Dunno Y... Na Jaane Kyon, now says that he will strip for Anna too, as the latter is “like God to him”.
“Drastic moves attract attention and we all need a corruption-free nation, for which we are willing to go to any extent,” says Jenny D. Another model-actor, Susheel Jangira, says she wants to go on a date with Anna wearing a sexy khadi sari.
“I find Anna’s power very sexy, I’d like to go on a coffee date with him and give him a 100 roses,” says Jangira.
Model Poonam Pandey (who had declared that she would run naked if India won the World Cup but, failed to do so) is also not lagging behind, “If my going nude will help eradicate corruption, then I’ll definitely do it,” she says while quickly staking claim for the ‘original’ idea.

{{/usCountry}}“All these who are now claiming that they will go nude for Anna should pay me royalty,” she adds. Many feel there can’t be a worse publicity gimmick.
“This is all stupidity. They are bringing nudity in to gain momentum. Stripping doesn’t mean you support a cause,” says actor Poonam Jhawar, who, incidentally plays corporate lobbyist Niira Radia in an upcoming film.
“This is just silly. These jokers say that by taking off their clothes they are showing solidarity... to whom, if I may ask? They are making a mockery of such a serious issue,” says ad guru Prahlad Kakkar, a keen Anna supporter.
