Madhuri Dixit's father passes away at 91

Popular actress and dancing queen Madhuri Dixit suffered one of the biggest setbacks with the demise of her father, Shankar R Dixit. It is learnt that Mr. Dixit, passed away this morning in his sleep. He was 91.

While his last hours were spent with his family was by his side, a distraught Madhuri said, "We'll miss him but we know he lived a full life. We thank all those who have offered their condolences and prayers."

Sridevi Kapoor offered her condolences to the actress on Twitter.

"@MadhuriDixit Shocked to hear about your father. My condolences to the entire family. RIP Shri Dixit," wrote Sridevi.
