'Queen of Pop' Madonna has revealed that she considered throwing herself off a building after her divorce with British filmmaker Guy Ritchie.

The 51-year-old superstar has confessed that the her separation from Ritchie came as a real blow and she was distracted only by her work, which included a gruelling world tour, Daily Mail reported.
"It was a challenging year. I may have thrown myself off a building. I think work saved me and I'm very grateful that I had work to do," Madonna told Rolling Stone magazine in an interview.
Madonna divorced Ritchie in December last year after a seven and half-year of marriage.
The singer recently concluded her 'Sticky and Sweet' tour. She also teamed up with Justin Timberlake for her hit 4 Minutes and worked with Lil Wayne on her new song, Revolver.
"Most of the joy of the shows is the magic of creating them -- theatre. I'm a perfectionist. I like hard work. I like to sweat," Madonna said.
The singer also revealed that contrary to her bold image, she was quite traditional in real life.
"I didn't really have my first drink until I got divorced the first time, from Sean Penn, when I was 30. I was kind of a geek in high school," she said.
