After playing two of their domestic T20 games in Raipur, the Delhi team was back in the Capital for their last home game this season. That's when we caught up with cricketers Morne Morkel and David Warner, and they seemed quite updated on Indian culture.
"It has been really good playing for Delhi; it's an amazing city ... the results haven't gone our way this time around, hopefully we will win the next season," said Morkel, 28, who hails from South Africa.
Asked about their favourite Bollywood divas, Warner, 26, said he stood spoilt for choice. "Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif ... all are my favourites!" Morkel, however, chose a safe answer. "I am in a very serious relationship, I have no favourites."
When it came to picking the best male actor, there was a switch of loyalties to Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan. "SRK is a great guy. I have met him a couple of times. Also, his passion for the game is commendable," said Morne, who was present with the other Delhi Daredevils member at the Kingfisher Bowl Out event.
The boys also confessed to having learnt some Hindi words and phrases - and not all pleasant at that. "'Shukriya' (thank you), 'aap kaise ho' (how are you) and 'behen...'," Warner decided not to complete the curse, used often during on-field verbal volleys these days.

{{/usCountry}}Earlier, Mahela Jayawardene - captain of the Delhi team, had told us that Warner happens to be one of the top pranksters in the team. When asked to reveal some of his tricks, the Australian said, "I think Morne is the one who is a prankster," to which Morkel replied, "A prankster never reveals his tricks!"
