Slated to be a monthly journal, it will be a mouthpiece for the Youth Congress and an opinion and message board rolled into one. There will also be a Hindi version of it, called Yuva Pragati.

Even though those involved are tight-lipped about the details, Dr Chayanika Uniyal, national general secretary, Indian Youth Congress, does say that the magazine will work towards catching the interest of the youth and getting them interested in the activities of youth wing of the Congress party. She confirms that a rough draft is ready and Rahul’s final approval is awaited. Sources say Rahul, a Cambridge graduate, will also be writing a monthly column for Youth March.

Though the magazine will be largely political in nature, there will be a lot of youth-focused content and discussions on topics like sports and entertainment.

Delhi’s young journos are also keen to join Rahul’s team. Dakshini Parihar, 24, says, “I’d love to work for him. I’m sure he’ll be a great boss.” Kritika Mehra, 25, says, “I hope he’s hiring, we’ll all get a chance to be on first name basis with him.”

Launching first in Delhi and Patna, the news of the magazine has DU students excited. Says Rahul Ahuja, “Finally, I think issues relevant to us will get a widely-read platform.”
