Teen starlet Miley Cyrus’s dad has defended daughter’s provocative pole dance describing her moves as “art”.
The Hanna Montana star caused a stir when she used the pole during a performance of her song Party In The USA at the Teen Choice Award earlier this month while dressed in high-heeled boots and hotpants, backed by female dancers in matching outfits.
However, Billy Ray Cyrus says it’s all good, clean fun – and he approves. “You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. She loves singing and songwriting. I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
“I give my kids a lot of freedom to make the art they want to make and make it in their own voice. “I think it’s important,” he added.
