Working in fast food joints is popular with students. “Last year I worked for Mc Donald’s in Preet Vihar for two months. Many of my friends also had a stint in fast food joints. Besides this, I have also modelled for brands, and plan to do the same this year,” says Arjun Mutneja of Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences

Thinking money-wise
Glamourous lifestyle and quick money attract lot of students towards call centres. “I have applied at various call centers. I’ll join them if I get any offers. It’s good to have some extra moolah to spend on yourself,” says Simran, a student of Rajdhani College.
Websites and online portals are other lucrative options for students who want to work from home. “Once my exams are over, I will take up freelancing work with websites,” says Neha Bhatnagar, an IGNOU student.

Working for promotional activities of companies where they are paid on a day-to-day basis is also sought after. “Last year, I was working with a channel for kids’ entertainment. We would visit malls and amusement parks and our work included getting children and parents participate in our activities to promote the channel,” says Rashmi Jha of Dyal Singh College.
