More than a year after King of Pop Michael Jackson passed away, conspiracy theories about the legend’s demise continue to crop up. Yet another shocking revelation about the circumstances that may have lead to MJ’s death comes on the show

According to the contract between Michael and AEG, the promoters of the concert he was preparing for when he passed away, MJ was to perform 50 concerts at the 02 center in London over a nine month period. And although MJ himself described it as “the final curtain call”, he may not have been physically up to the challenge.
Brian Oxman, an attorney for Michael’s father Joe Jackson, claims AEG had deep concerns for the entertainer. “He (Michael) was too sleepy. He was taking medications which made him tired and unable to perform, and that unless he got his act together, the producers and promoters were going to pull the plug on the concert.”
The stress of the job wasn’t all. MJ’s friend Gotham Chopra, son of spiritual guru Deepak Chopra, reveals, “He knew endless doctors...and many doctors who were always willing to write new prescriptions.” Deepak adds MJ had once asked him to write a prescription for a narcotic. “I said I wasn’t going to… he started to cry. He said, you don’t understand. I’m in a lot of pain.”

MJ’s biographer Randy Taraborelli adds that the drug use probably started after MJ was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy in 1993. But, his battle with insomnia may have been the final trigger. On the night of his death MJ was pleading with his physician, Dr Conrad Murray, to give him a powerful and dangerous anesthetic called Propofol.
Though it’s still a matter of debate, according to police, MJ’s final hours involved a cocktail of drugs, administered by Dr Murray, that pushed him over the edge.
