Movies for management course

Management students at Aryans Business School (ABS), along the Chandigarh-Patiala highway, were shown select Bollywood films to as part of lessons. Read on why these lessons were given out.

Management students at Aryans Business School (ABS), along the Chandigarh-Patiala highway, were shown select Bollywood films to as part of lessons. Films like

3 Idiots, Chak De! India, Lakshya, Corporate, Guru, Swades, Taare Zameen Par

and

Iqbal

have been screened for over 300 B-school students, in both BBA and MBA courses.

“These films have been taken up as case studies to analyse strategy, motivation, determination, ambition, time and stress management, will power, resistance and change management, goal achievement, team management, the role of seniors, focus, talent management, organisational goal versus individual goals. They can help them to become effective leaders,” says ABS chairman Anshu Kataria.

Students at ABS were given a preview before the screening of important extracts of the movies. After the movies were screened, students were asked to

prepare a case study of the different aspects they are assigned.
