Akshay is someone I don’t really know personally but I’ve loved and adored Tina (Twinkle) ever since she was five. We’ve grown up together, infact she’s the reason I joined boarding school.
She was in New Era in Panchgani and I told my parents I want to be in the same school as her. But I was miserable within four days as, being an only child, I wasn't used to staying away from parents. So Twinkle advised me to run away from school. I made an attempt and was caught. Till now I tell people about this and she says if I tell one more person this story, she’ll kill me. I think she’s beautiful…I just love her. I wanted to cast her desparately in Kuchch Kuchch HotaHai and that’s why the character is called Tina. It was written with her in mind. For some reason, she couldn’t do it. But she still jokes, “Aren’t you glad you didn’t cast me finally?” When I got to know she’s marrying Akshay, my first thought was, “man, they’re gonna have beautiful children.” Akshay is like a Greek God...she’s so pretty.
What I admire about Akshay is how he has grown from where he started to where he has reached.The kind of money that he has acrrued for this industry is indisputable. There is power in his achievement, there’s power in her as a succesful career woman, not just a star wife...together, there’s power in their physicality. When they walk into a room, you can’t help but say, "My God, what a good looking couple.”
