With just a day to go for his wedding with Priyanka Alva, Vivek Oberoi has no time for love. Not only has the actor been absent from most pre-wedding celebrations, thanks to his film, Rakta Charitra, Oberoi has also convinced his fiancée to defer their honeymoon by a few weeks. Reason: the Tamil version of the film releases on Diwali, followed by its second part on November 19, and Oberoi wants to be present at the promotion.
“Ramuji (director Ram Gopal Varma) keeps on saying that I am married to Rakta Charitra first. My family, in-laws and friends have been really supportive, and assured me that they will take care of everything. I am disconnected and clueless,” says the actor.
Oberoi adds that Alva has won over his family. "My parents, sister, brother-in-law and even my nephew Adi have grown fond of Priyanka in such a short span of time. She’s won over their hearts and that makes me proud of my life partner," he says.
His fiancée is also helping him do up their bungalow. "I had never imagined sitting somewhere and checking samples of marble and choosing which shade would suit which part of the house. It’s a wonderful experience to look into every detail of the house that a man and woman plan to turn into a home together. Priyanka has great taste. Everything will be eco-friendly because both of us are environment-conscious," he says.
