The film industry is abuzz with reports that some filmmakers are planning to introduce a no marriage/pregnancy clause in female actors’ contracts after Ash’s pregnancy came as a surprise to director Madhur Bhandarkar, but while most actors are wary about it, Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap actor Sonal Chauhan says she is okay signing a contract with such a clause.
“Yes, I would absolutely sign it. I am not anywhere close to getting married or becoming a mother. In fact, I am not thinking of marriage for the next six to seven years,” she says. The actor, however, says that she would not introduce any clauses from her side. “I don’t have a list of what I will not do. I never thought about that. For me, the script is the hero,” she says.
The actor, who worked with Amitabh Bachchan for the first time in BBuddah..., says it was a “fantastic” experience. “I was ecstatic when I got to know that I am working in a film with Amitabh Bachchan. When I signed the film, I didn’t know he would be a part of it. Later, when I got to know that he was in it, I was really happy.” She raves on, “He’s a great human being. He is very helpful. There is a lot to learn from him. Like, he is never selfish ... he’s concerned about everyone, always.”
